This afternoon we’ve received a photo from a trusted source with what looks like David Davis wearing the new Birmingham City home shirt. The photo matches the design that we revealed on Twitter on 5th May.
Take them with a pinch of salt of course… but we understand #bcfc will be wearing these kits next season… Opinions? pic.twitter.com/BFaeL9Jjxy

The background seems to match the branding of the away kit launch and from the tattoos, seems to have David Davis modelling it. As we posted nearly 2 months back, the new home shirt will be a reverse of the away shirt, and this should mean white shorts, blue socks, the reverse of the away kit.
The club have tonight teased that the shirt will soon be released, so it should only be a matter of days before the kit is officially revealed.

Judging from the results of our Twitter poll, the general reaction is positive. 79% of people voted that they loved it or that it needs the Adidas stripes on the sleeves rather than down the sides under the arms.
It’s worth remembering that for the first few years (believed to be 3) of Blues’ deal with Adidas, any kit we have will be a standard Teamwear kit rather than a bespoke design. This means we are somewhat limited as to what’s on offer. However if and when the partnership exceeds this time, the club will benefit from bespoke designs that may be more appealing.
We have shared some of the reactions from Twitter below.
