Aberdeen have confirmed that Blues attacker Greg Stewart has joined them on a season long loan. The 27-year-old has failed to really break in to the first team at St Andrews since being signed last summer by Gary Rowett for around £500k from Dundee.
A move away from Blues always seemed likely this summer with Harry Redknapp confirming that it was likely a loan deal would happen if somebody would cover his wages.
Stewart made just 6 starts for Blues last season along with 15 substitute appearances, one of which was a late appearance at Villa Park in Redknapp’s first game in charge. He then failed to make the match day squad for the win over Huddersfield and was an unused sub in the final game of the season away at Bristol City.
It seems as though this could be the start of a lot of activity both coming and going this week with rumours of Stephen Gleeson also attracting interest.
